Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress, who is employed in both film, television and the theatre. The most famous of her roles is Teri Joe, a fiery lawyer from her role on the Showtime program Soul Food. The actress is known under her married name, Nikki Kodjoe. From the time she was a child, Nikki Kodjoe was a naturally talented actor. In a Maryland contest with high school students, she won the award for Best Actress. After her experience in the theater as well as with "The Washington Ballet Company" She was awarded an acting certificate from New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love, her first role in a major film, was a huge success and earned her the admiration of many. After that, she appeared in movies like "Boogie Nights Spark" and "Blue Streak". The TV series Soul Food' was immensely loved. The actress was featured in TV shows like Second Time Around, and Empire. The stage was the place she appeared in a variety of productions in the beginning of her career. Parker is a model with an interest in politics, is married with actor/model Boris Kodjoe. They have two kids together.

Contractor who was raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai before he turned seven, had traveled around across the globe and lived through diverse cultures when he was a kid. She attended boarding school from the age of 7 until 9 in London. After that, she and her family relocated home to Toronto (Canada) which is where they lived for the rest of her childhood. Contractor studied and became an expert in classical dancing in Toronto. She attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts which is a highly specialized public arts high school in which she was not just a dancer but also studied theater. Contractor decided to take acting more seriously at the age 16 after almost 10 year of dance. When she graduated from high-school with a full scholarship for tuition to University of Toronto where she studied theatre with a double degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Following a year at University, Contractor went to an open call audition for the play Pericles at the prestigious, world-renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the leading role. Her performance was lauded for the 92 shows which she was a part of. She was awarded the award in 2002 for the Best Production of the Year, as judged by Canadian critics. The conservatory in Stratford accepts eight men, four women and a handful of other people for a 20 week crash course. Contractor's spot was assured during the upcoming season of shows She was also offered Hermia's character in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
